Without wanting too much to escape to the psychological (especially since I'm not a psychologist), but I have a feeling that particularly Dän and Eddie, the main responsibility for drawing texts and arranging so, are from the "woods" to get out. I know, because I'm in the same age, many young parents, for the first few years of their children are mentally not easy, because they are just yet plagued by worries about the future - that does not seem to have been different even if the WiseGuys, and has mE also reflected in the songs and arrangements. Especially the "up-tempo" numbers seem to me like a little relief and a shaking off some worries. "Take off" is not one of the fast numbers but sings actually exactly - and also commented on the home page of Dän WiseGuys to match.
A few more sentences to wit: That's right, the wit of the first albums remains unmatched, examples have already been mentioned here several times. But the mixture makes it, like the WiseGuys also their lyrics are more mature. I miss the joke at times also, but then put a one of the old washers and look forward to the new album on the more hidden something, maybe more intimate fine humor.
Hopefully, the positive trend that I see for my taste at "school trip" away again and the WiseGuys be again that for which they have been mE loved by so many fans: A band that offers ease and wit, even in the quieter ballads.
