The quality is not nearly enough to my Nokia Lumia 920, but the volume is well above the level of my mobile phones (probably around 250%). In this respect, it is very pleasant to take the Shoqbox with on the balcony or the terrace and play a variety of playlists on the phone.
The battery lasts a long time, really loud as promised features 6-8 hours, which is definitely enough. Even the splash protection is fine: It started to rain, I have everything saved what there was to rescue, last but not least the Shoqbox (which was then already quite watered), which has put away the watering without problems.
But then came thick of Use: The Shoqbox is in my apartment in the living room on a desk, mounted about 70 cm above the ground to load there. By mistake, the box fell off and landed on a charger. The result: The cover for hands-free operation is chipped.
In addition, the Shoqbox showed the next few days strange signs of emotional upset: One-off worked only sporadically, the language set by arbitrarily BlueTooth worked once, then not again, it was very annoying.
My conclusion therefore: The name "ShoqBox" is definitely not appropriate. A fall from a minimum height (70 cm) and the part is broken, that's probably a joke. My Lumia has been falling from about 120 cm survived without damage (and thereby damaged the floor), and are far from being so like the ShoqBox.
So bottom line: Nice device (and definitely better than JBL PlayUp or other "Air Speaker"), but - like the market companions - in the current version is not worth the price.
