We ordered 2 ABUS smoke detector with lithium batteries. According to the product description, these batteries will last about 10 years. For our two smoke detectors but that was not the case: a smoke detector showed immediately after inserting the supplied battery by regular beeps indicates that the battery needs changing. This smoke detector we have sent back together with battery. In the second smoke detector, the situation was not much different: in this battery was too low and did not even 2 months. In our opinion, these smoke detectors / batteries for many years around somewhere so that the supplied batteries are (almost) empty.
This circumstance I feel also therefore be particularly annoying as lithium batteries are not cheap. For the second smoke detector I have now bought later a lithium battery and had to shell out again for this 10,95. In this respect, I already feel ripped off.
Please do not get me wrong. The ABUS smoke detectors are good, Amazon is also good, but with this supplier, I would order for the (almost) dead batteries no more smoke detectors. Who wants to still order here, in my opinion, should check immediately after receiving the batteries with a battery tester.
