Among the features:
- Espresso: you can choose three different cup sizes, each (water) amount can be pre-programmed.
- The desired coffee strength can also be adjusted individually.
- Cappucino: With one keystroke, a cappuccino is brewed automatically, which meets my needs perfectly.
- Hot milk: you're also on the cappuccino button.
- Hot water: I am not convinced, because you only get to about 70 °. I would have liked to be able to draw sometimes hot water for tea. Yes yes I know ... ;-)
- Very important for a morning is the automatic switching. Adjustable here is a time at which the machine is adjusted every day.
- Also of some interest is the automatic Aussschaltung, adjustable up to max. 3 hours after the last use.
- The machine remembers independently to the descaling, depending on water hardness (test strips included). For the decalcification has its own program.
- Washing program: When switching on and off the brewing unit is automatically rinsed, additionally, you can force this by pressing a button.
- The milk nozzle can be cleaned in between pretty good push of a button.
Important for good results:
- Lime harm the taste. Therefore descale regularly, if necessary, use water filters.
- The milk is often all day at room temperature. That should keep in mind, if one wants to put the remaining milk in the evening in the refrigerator.
Cleaning:
- I let the milk container usually with Spüli soak overnight and then rinse after. Before each refilling I rinse easily from clear. And of course, often times the nozzle cleaning. Every now and then you have to but once the surface clean with a pipe cleaner. A thorough cleaning is achieved even if one runs through the milk program water with washing up liquid.
- The drip tray should be flush with any coffee grounds disposal with clear water. Depending on usage, with me about a week, a cleaning with washing up liquid. On the inaccessible areas to get the way with a bottle brush.
- If the container is full, the machine indicates this. Trashing (only the content!), Rinse with clear water, once a week thorough cleaning (the way goes in the dishwasher!).
- The brewing unit must be cleaned occasionally; in my experience usually sufficient rinsing with clear water.
- For the coffee grounds, the missed the container, the combined use of brush and battery vacuum cleaner is recommended.
The deduction of points, I give for the hot water and the brewing unit, which has become so entangled again with me, that the machine had to repair. Only one point because I know the Saeco very different - there are seemingly predetermined breaking points.
