At first I had nearly the whole frame (precisely at the point where the door rests) mounted a continuous strip. The distances from the door frame are in different places vary in size, but since the seal's flexible, it can be adapted accordingly. At the end of the closing of the door went but still pretty tight, so I removed the seal in some places again until nothing squeezed when closing. Alternatively, I would have to buy a thinner gasket for this tighter spots. But I wanted to wait (because of the additional costs in turn) first, whether the result is already acceptable, even if the band is not attached throughout, but remain some (too narrow) places free. Anyway, now everything fits (even so) wonderful, the strips keep several months. Smells and sounds of the staircase no longer get through.
Conclusion:
The flexibility of the seal fits different sizes to be sealed gaps at well. The adhesive surface has a very ordinary adhesive force hardly decreases even after (at least once) detaching and re-aligning. Unfortunately, there is about this product from Tesa my knowledge no equivalent alternatives from other manufacturers, so that one of the relatively high price ultimately willy-nilly have to accept if you want to just have a seal (for a star deduction).
