Before about a year I started with photography, with a immerdrauf lens (Sigma 18-250mm). With this lens I am but then pushed quickly to my limits at the local ice rink, because I wanted better pictures. And since I'm a volunteer house and home Photographer of a hockey team from the 2. Bundesliga, now had to be a better lens. Clearly for me was that it had to be high speed, there will be photographed in the hall, and cheap, it should naturally be. First, I moved the price issue to the fore, which is why I stayed times depend on a Tamrom 70-300 4L. Have informed me about it for days and repeatedly also the Canon 70-200 4L appeared on. So looked for a Canon, initially after the 70-200 4L. While this is possible as relatively "low" to obtain, but without image stabilization and auto focus without, or only with no image stabilizer, but I wanted a panacea and it does not spend 2000.-. Finally, take pictures of my hobbies, and not my daily bread. And so I was then stumbled upon the Sigma 70-200 2.8L attention with OS and HSM. When price however, I was taken aback, it costs "only" half the comparable Canon lens and asked me if that can be. Ok, I had a Sigma lens and am very satisfied considering what power range it covers. So again Google and tortured for hours, compared their images etc. Several discussions I've read and found myself, the discussions on the Bildquälität mostly just rotate nuances, no more and no less. So I decided to buy the lens at Amazon. As always, very fast delivery and I was surprised about the huge part (and the Canon is even greater). Perched on my Canon EOS 60D and from the stadium to create test shots.
Fast facts: absolute hammer this lens. Really great colors, beautiful bokeh, faster for (professional) Hockey autofocus and a properly fitting focus.
Many are not satisfied with the auto focus, which I can not understand, because with my all-round lens I had shot 300 images at least 200 wg. Dispose of blurred images and a further 50 were close to the limit. With the Sigma 70-200, however, I shoot 100 photos and will have, if it comes up, dispose of only 10 photos due to unwanted blur. And in the 10 to delete photos of the user is to blame for the fuzziness in 99%, since an incorrect range has been focused (setting Spot metering).
I am absolutely thrilled with this lens made photos, and I've confirmed by printed in A4 and A3 photos again themselves.
I would strongly recommend every ambitious (sports) photographers warmly!
