The first of a total of 13 songs have the typical placebo sound, a mix of punchy indie rock and a lot of atmosphere, such as Depeche Mode, The Cure and Sonic Youth. But that will change from "Devil in the details" because dive playful synth beats, opulent orchestral arrangements and even choirs.
In "The Never-Ending Why" is a saxophone in use, and in "Kings of Medicine", even wind occur. In placebo it is not really boring, they are doomed ambitious and can still come up with something new.
All in all a very good album, which really surprised me after so many years !!!
