Let's start with it at that since Assassins Creed 1 I have been following the series, still I find part 2 and Brotherhood, the best branch are, Revelations had clearly had problems during AC 1 simply the foundation for a great story, the question is now, of course: "What is left of it?"
Well let's start with the fact that the atmosphere of AC 3 is breathtakingly simple, I mean: weather (snow, rain, etc.), animals (dogs, cats, cows, sheep, pigs, etc.) and interact with people and the environment itself ... just did awesome.
Then we come to the same but the big weaknesses of Part 3:
- Conner: I'm sorry that I have to say that so unverblühmt, but I can not simply suffer Conner, unlike Ezio he acts like a ruffian of the head first and is gaping wide through the walls doors entry. Rarely a single finishing move, only wild draufhumgehacke during the fight. He knows hardly what he does and why, he never sees the big picture and acts (unlike Ezio) never master of the situation, but he just seems to have a lot of luck. Since he can not run so nicely freely through the area and have some glittering appearances, but for me, he behaves like a Haudrauf, not as an assassin.
- Hatham: "The apple does not fall far from the tree", that fits, I do not mean that I Hatham Kenway (Conners father) does not suit you, it looks like the epitome of a straight and uncompromising Templars, the (caution a small spoiler!) interspersed his goals, no matter how much it costs, actually the character even manages the "black- white- changing view of Assassins Creed (at least partly). My concern here rather back to the relationship of father and son, in he kills the one hit him almost at the next he lets his son go stale in jail and then Conner forgive him easily and even his bodyguard and errand boy, I'm sorry, I can not understand and I can tell you truthfully that my relationship with my Father also is anything but rosy), so I can not understand here Conners decisions. He would often turn the opportunity misconduct but he does not.
- Subtitle: Sorry but it has finally to be said: white letters on an almost white base are not legible, and since many dialogues in the game are just out in Conners native language which is quite frustrating. The same for entries in the database.
- The Story: I'm sorry, but the story about AC 3 is disappointing, I mean sometimes Conners understand acts for me. Quite apart from the end which is probably the lousiest decision for an epic story like Assassins Creed and the Geschcihte to Desmond Miles. To me it is previously unheard of I (Revelations not even) just could sit idle splashing around one of the previous games, but I always wanted as much as possible to know about the story, gather as much discovery and, at AC 3 such impulses come easy extremely rare and if so, they do not last long.
- Chests: It just takes time to find the trick here simply times briefly in passing a small tutorial: keep tension with two sticks and rumdrücken as soon as possible repeated on RT.
Let's talk about the positive aspects:
- Side Missions: It must be said: The side missions from Assassines Creed 3 are varied and just well done, no matter whether it is sea battles (which are simply well staged), the settlement missions (which are simply designed lovingly) or even the more adventurous and Jagdgesellschaft- missions in addition of course the Liberation Missions and the Assassin missions. However, the side missions also make the most of the game from (I'll get into).
- Hunting: It may be copied is simple but well implemented: The hunting of wild animals, whether deer, rabbit, raccoon, beaver, elk (a large deer), lynx, wolves and even cougars and bears: It's just well done and fun. It also brings the game progresses tidy profit.
We come to the conclusion: AC 3 is not a bad game, but it's just not as good nor as engaging as the previous titles and has a disappointing plot with a main character who one rarely appeals. In fact the game without the side missions would be worth less than 5 euros, which the lift more than 70% of the game, while the story itself brignt it grade times to about 30% of the overall package, which is disappointing.
Who wants Assassins Creed complete needs to access anywhere, who wants a good game with an Assassin, which I rate as one of the predecessors, but AC 3 remains a very solid game denoch, but it is too far from being a very good game.
