I just read the negative comments and I realize that K.Dick is really a difficult author to one who is not initiated ... Do not see the frenzy surrounding this book is to miss the best! The fixation on objects, collectors, with extremism as a backdrop ... all this creates an atmosphere that leads the reader to wonder if he is not crazy about either! The rise of paranoia and schizophrenia throughout history may not be as subtle as in Ubik but is still well staged. So, yes, indeed this book does not call into question the Nazi horror (whatever ... it is discussed qd mm!) But it shows that humanity is able to adapt to the worst horrors without problems and did not even realize those horrors. I think the heart of the book is located on this level. Enjoy reading!
