When we read the Lord of the Rings, burning to know more about the enigmatic Tom Bombadil. We do not learn much if not on the happy marriage of old Tom with the young and charming Bay Gold and its taste (that of Tom, not the Goldberry) for beer in the County ... But we find (for me, at least) the unexpected Tolkien talent for poetry. A far cry from the epic poems but these have an undeniable charm.
