This new adventure is a bit apart in the Castlevania series, since it neglects the Belmont clan. Instead, it focuses on a secret society that watches over mysterious glyphs. Shanoa charismatic heroine's the one who masters its glyphs. These "tattoos" would invoke the powers to defeat the sinister Dracula.
These innovations also allow scriptwriting to dust off some gameplay. The glyphs are substituted for old episodes of knives and their combination allows access to great powers. Of course the power of your character will also be subject to its progress in levels.
