The X100 (I have the original version, not the S version) is a wonderful camera. I always come back to it, preferring it over the X-E1 and my Canon 550D DSLR. With this 33mm Conversion Lens, it now has the field of view did I prefer: Equivalent to 50mm full frame. I expect to take the conversion lens off very rarely. But of course, having a wide-angle lens mobile (just screw off the converter) is a good thing as well ... Fuji Continues to Produce Excellent gear, and coupled With Their unfailing support for 'older' hardware (firmware updates adding important Features and Improving What Was Already There), customers, It Seems to me, can only be very pleased. Is the difference between 23mm and 33mm (or 35mm and 50mm FF equivalent) really worth 250 euros? I say it is. Try taking the same pictures by simply stepping forward, as some suggest: the compression in the image is just not the same. TL; DR Summary: The X100 mojo is alive and well with this added 50mm field of view.
