Forget the clichés, Tigana has neither a struggle between Good and Evil or a handful of heroes to save mankind from the clutches of the Big Nasty! This original novel owes much to the tragedy and romantic literature, where nothing is entirely white nor entirely black, where social values and personal values do not always agree and where heroes are sometimes subject with difficult choices. Pardon the cliché, but it's the kind of book that you can put aside once it has started. Do not rely only on my review, know that André-François Ruaud, wonderful specialist literature, Tigana has ranked among the best of the genre and Anne McCaffrey said he is one of the best novels fantasy she read.
