An interesting update of Orwell's 1984

The Zone Out (Paperback)

Customer Review

This novel set in 2084 appears somewhere as a revised version of Orwell's 1984. It contains a carefully improved and updated layer of state monitoring system. The characters are endearing and depersonalization of the "mass" brilliantly conducted. The work covers all the hot topics related to the future of human beings in our society, it is not content to update the monitoring processes but also addresses the media power, organic control, management of energy and the place of creation and art in a society stifled by the comfort and ease.

This version of Big Brother is more insidious and pernicious than its predecessor and enables ideological made verbal jousting between the two parties in confrontation that are a delight to read. For those who have read the second work of Alain Damasio, we already feel in the characters and reading codes the characteristics of the second volume (which does not deal at all with the same subject).

I just regret having read the last author's explanations of pages that "spoil" a little work. The reader should be able to see where the author is coming without it having to add an epilogue out of context.
