In Republic Commando, you play the role of a warrior clones from the Star Wars universe. As such, if it is just one among many, but their team is not only stupid henchmen. Every man on your team has specific skills and can be used accordingly tactically. Thus, an example can very quickly hack into systems, the other is an excellent sniper and explosives expert is also the same on board the funny troupe. Republic Commando is indeed primarily a linear FPS, but the action is constantly broken up by the pithy comments of your followers. My favorite saying: "Boss, we have the rock as blow and I say this not only because I see like what flying in the air". Graphically knows Republic Commando from the beginning to convince. Everywhere there rumst vast and huge explosions fill the screen. The weapons and particle effects, but also the animation of friend and foe are excellent. The beautiful Pixelshader- and Bloom effects values the graphic on addition. Particularly successful are details such as the "wiper" for helmet visor when eg insects mucus injected by a completed opponents on them. Overall, the venues are kept darker than you would perhaps expect from a Star Wars game, yet is just that a welcome change to the atmosphere rather parlous state Episode movies. Even if you're like me less have the hat with the new Star Wars-parts or more might prefer the old parts of this game will be something for you. An innovative highlight of the game is certainly the intuitive command system, which allows you to give instructions to your comrades. Without complex button combinations just makieren the target for the action to be taken and your comrades tuhen what you have commanded. So you can give the instruction an explosive charge to apply to take a gun to give covering fire or to make with the sniper rifle support for example. This works especially therefore easy because the team AI of the game is an outstanding success. Your comrades take independent coverage, attack opponents or revive even again, you should even bless the meantime. Yes, even if you lie on the ground continue to fight your team members and follow your recent orders. Particularly impressive is the following example: You throw a Termalgranate accidentally in the wrong direction. One of your teammates notice it in time, engages geistesgegenwertig the grenade and throw it towards the enemy. This is something I've seen in any other current shooter yet. But the sound in Republic Commando knows how to inspire. The Dt. Synchronization works perfectly cast and very professional, which is not exactly a matter of course in shooters of this kind. The in-game music is borrowed from the original Star Wars movies and is very impressive by the orchestral design. But the weapon and explosion sounds can be heard. The difficulty here Republic Commando is recommended very moderate and for shooter newcomers. There is actually no unfair points and flow of the game is pretty fast. Many magazines, the game was provided with votes 80-83%, although it is significantly undervalued, in my view. It may be that the textures are from time to time a little gray (in view of the sci-fi scenario actually of course) and some game elements are repeated in later levels (in which shooter is not so?), But the game is just very well-designed and were hardly weak points. Especially science fiction fans with a penchant for FPS will love this game, but everyone else can safely take a look.
