Anastacia - Resurrection - Deluxe Edition

Anastacia is back! After its twofold cancer and a cover album the singer released with Resurrection to German resurrection own songs. After their last studio album Heavy Rotation rather went in the direction of the RnB, she returns here to her roots and her own style back, she calls Sprock, a mix of soul, pop and rock. And for each of these styles of music is an element of this album: The Soul is introduced by their black-sounding voice, pop by the catchy melodies and rock through the successful and diverse instrumentation.

Anastacia meets with this album again fully the nerve of her fans, combined with great dance numbers, soulful ballads and pop songs harmonious. Here, their distinctive voice in the foreground and is caressed by the instrumentation, and the lyrics seem very personal. Now a little more about each song:

The opener Staring at the sun sets the tone for the whole album and clearly shows that the singer has lost none of its power and its feeling. Lifetime is a rock power ballad that allowed an excellent and varied package call their own. The high notes and the choirs in the background of the chorus give the song a significant effect and will make it one of the strongest songs on the album.

I dont want to be the one continued the interplay of rock songs and ballads and brings a melancholy note in the album. Violin and piano set the song, the thoughtful and emotive text complement each other beautifully with the harsh Klag the singer. Very smooth and produces ever-enhancing unfold later in the song more charm without seeming pretentious or artificial.

Apology continues the series of powerful ballads continue, but to dispense with the dramatic increase in total and remain rather at a constant level. Broken Wings, the last song of the regular album, is not a cover of the famous Mr. Mister songs, but a really great song, the wavy develops and thereby increases in strength and expression continues. The concept is clear and goes on, numerous powerful ballads, all set very consistent in scene, to emotional lyrics. I like the atmosphere thus created, and it fits very well with the singer. A feel-good album that wants to be heard in silence and fits perfectly into a cozy evening. Great that again takes up the Sprock style, a style that fits perfectly to Anastacia.
