This album makes a real pleasure; at least if one it has four to five times consulted. After I put the disc from the well laid-out cardboard cover for the first time in my CD player, I found most of the songs pretty well, but not really outstanding. OK, my expectations were high, but lived in the previously released single "I die for you today," the typical Alphaville sound back on. But even with this Alphaville album, I realized once again that comes the true genius of (most) songs only after repeated listen to daily. I especially like to Alphaville, is similar to the others, none of their albums. Each has its own style, but without sacrificing the high recognition value of the band. This may of course be due to the particular extraordinary voice of singer Marian Gold, who knows how to convey different moods (even within a song). I had ordered the "Limited Edition" of "Catching Rays On Giant"; the beiligende here DVD has to offer an interview with Marian Gold (including some notes of * new * band members) and the video for "I, for your today". The former I found quite interesting, but you have the 3D version can be it save (on the DVD). Three, the additional four tracks on the CD (special versions of some titles) are for me not really succeeded, except for the variant of "Fallen Angel" in the "Orchestral demo version". The two title "Carry Your Flag" and "Miracle Healing", which were already on the "Crazy Show" box set are, on the contrary, in its new versions on the album very well done. For me, again a special album in my CD collection, which has earned despite slight weaknesses of the Deluxe Edition 5 Stars.
