* Optical Image Stabilizer
* Wide-angle lens
* Many manual controls
* In this MP-class a comparatively large CCD
* Speed during mixing and imprints
Now, the Z850 does not have the first two criteria! But after numerous comparing to be found on the Internet Test photos from different cameras countless manufacturers, I can myself clearly opt for CASIO. The Z850 offered in my view clearly the sharper image and better contrast and saturation ratio than most others. To explain away the lack of criteria yet, I would like to add that a lot of wide-angle cameras bring a significant blurring in the edge regions. An optical image stabilizer would, however, still not bad, because you can do without the electronic image and Videostabilisierer this camera, but according to Stiftung Warentest, there are few cameras in this price segment, in which this feature was able to increase the image quality significantly.
The only drawback in my opinion is the video quality can be improved by means of a firmware update to version 1.1B. Only show many version comparisons on the Internet, that thereby the image quality of photos is losing focus at the same time. If so soon a new firmware version appears, connecting the video quality of 1.1B and the image quality of 1.1, then it is easily worth the 5 stars.
I would also add that in my opinion, no other camera manufacturer installed a so quality and robust housing, as it was this and also my last (EXILIM Z750) camera CASIO donated. What is also confirmed in many tests.
