This book is chronologically before the Phoenix-Unicorn Grail trilogy by the same author, published in late 80 early 90. It includes the main elements of this universe half medieval half science fiction. The veil is lifted on some facts / mysterious phenomena that were a little charm of the previous adventure. As in previous books, the author takes the opportunity to "let go" on some social issues: religion, consumerism, nuclear power, the role of women etc. This side preachy is sometimes a bit heavy. Still, the adventure is exciting, the sympathetic hero. We spend a good time, 25 years after the first game, which remains by far the best.
