The receiver is operated at me with an LCD TV from Samsung, so I just need the remote control for the BD-D8909S to control everything.
Have first updates for TV and receiver installed and then set up the device. Network runs over a Fritz box 7270, strangely enough, only one device can directly via LAN into the net! But that does not bother because the Internet function is only used for the receiver and the devices are paired in the composite. I have not found to update Skype function. All DLNA devices on the network are found directly, MKV videos I can stream directly from your PC via the receiver to my TV without any lag !!! An additional USB stick for the Fritz box is no longer needed because the receiver has a 1GB internal memory (buffer). Also, I could my movies from an external memory to copy directly to the HDD plate without problems, even another TV was possible to feed into the network and receiving the films from the receiver at the same time.
My network (3 family house) consists of Fritzbox 7170 (base station-center), 7170 (basement), 7170 (1 EC), 7170 (3rd floor) and 7270 (living room / DECT) as well as several TV and 7 PC's and network printers ! Important !!! At the Fritzbox a USB hub should be connected as well as a USB storage (16GB) as buffer memory, 1TB hard drive media directly into the USB HUB then the whole works without problems throughout the house. My Fritz boxes all have Wi-Fi booster antenna and increased thus I have a wireless range of about 400 meters (100% transmission and 100% received signal). The receiver serves me as a media player / server and is recommended properly. The only negative is the Blu-Ray drive is a bit too loud and needs some time until the blank read.
Time spent on device for me about 6-8 hours.'ve Tried a lot and am now absolutely delighted !!!
My alternative was a media PC, but because of HD + and my budget for hardware (1000 EUR) for me that was the best solution. Picture and sound are perfect!
The device makes it what I want and all I need is not currently.

About HDD exchange! (Was the predecessor model successfully)
Hard disk can be possibly replaced, the hard drive must be of the same type and same manufacturer, has previously created an image of the plate that must be uploaded later on the new disk! Image must be created with True Image or Ghost then supposed funzen everything!
Conclusion: a device with rich functionality with small mistakes!
Nevertheless, an absolute buy recommendation from me! It does what I need for me personally !!!!

now have the opportunity found out how to movies from the internal hard drive to an external USB hard drive to copy!
1. USB flash drive / hard disk optimize Properties write caching
2. USB flash drive / hard disk to FAT32 format (Dateichachegröße 8000)
3. Connect

go to the menu on HDD, yellow button click on Tools then by the copying facility is activated!
then copy it to an external drive, the copy process takes a little but it funzt!
