Function
The disc tray moves nice and slow and out! Drive sounds are no longer audible in about 30 cm distance! The Einlesezeiten for a CD are 3 - 4 seconds later. I close the charging only when I am in the listening position, otherwise you miss the first notes of the CD. Other Rezensanten have since unfortunately made significantly worse experiences, but I can not confirm. The the CD player function is impeccable!
Equipment
Attached is the CD player on the corresponding Pioneer A - 30 (analog via RCA), both operate two Jamo S 608 tower speaker. Previous or existing equipment, ONKYO CD player and LG Blu Ray Player, also connected analog. The Onkyo CD player is located at approximately the same price level, the LG Blu Ray Player is cheaper, but not cheap player. The CD player Onkyo is a little older and has many features of the Pioneers not, the Blu Ray player from LG is just under 2 months old.
Sound
The CD player is in perfect harmony with the A- 30, they complement each other almost perfectly. Was the sound of the ONKYO CD player and LG Blu Ray Player already really good, so the Pioneer presents the sound many times better. Bass are reproduced with dynamic and clear, the centers pulsate downright and the heights reach an unimagined brilliance. Votes and standing in the foreground instruments are almost physically tangible. A real pleasure to listen to the duo at work. So I've always wanted that. A CD after another wandered into the drive to always listen to new facets of actually believed known music, it must be! Onkyo CD player I have now been sold, only the Blu Ray player is still in place.
Negatives
Who at Pioneer has dark gray buttons allowed in the diaphragm that does not fit and do not fit to the buttons on the control panel of the A 30 K, which are in fact black. And why are the plastic? At a MSRP of 400.00 has in the plastic cover not lost! The limitation when playing FLAC files really should not be a format that gradually displaces the mp3 format. Finally, many learn to look back on quality and to be showered not only on the music, but then this serious limitation. Too bad, I hope that a firmware update this defect eliminated in the foreseeable future. Only because of the truly outstanding sound of the CD player I have deducted no star, it would actually earned. The network player from Pioneer dominated FLAC, but only because I buy it to me certainly not (a rogue who thinks now bad about the sales strategy of Pionneer).
