BEHEMOTH deliver with "Demigod" again from a strong album. After the Poles have released their last album a classic after another and outdone themselves again and again, I was very excited about their new album Demigod. Actually BEHEMOTH can indeed nothing publish bad, but unfortunately this occurs here but not quite to the perfection or BEHEMOTH are still no nearer because our border neighbors have declined in my view for the first time a step - albeit NIR minimal. Do not get me wrong here not because you music is still very cool, since there is no doubt, but I think that the guys who lost to Nergal something to brutality, the songs are kept very very still. However BEHEMOTH but is considered for the bonus yet relatively independent sound, even if the slightly oriental / Egyptian touch but a little reminiscent of the songs on NILE, much black metal oriented sound. The best proof of this is already the brilliant opener Sculpting the Throne ov Seth, the same raging an infernal storm out of the boxes out. The subsequent title track is the second to none. But what is at Conquer all? Listen to time exactly riff in this piece of! The trained ANTHRAX fan will immediately be all, end all heard here of the New Yorkers out. Nevertheless, the piece of Poland remains a cool song, which definitely belongs to the bulk of their best songs. Noticeable Endorses also the technical development that stands out especially in the solos (just listen to Xul to!). More Playing tips are the way still:
- The Nephilim Rising, which provides clearly for a change mainly by its slower way and here reveals several subtleties.
- Mysticum Coniunctionis, a number that has been very varied, especially.
- The Reign ov Shemsu-Hor, a very tense track who triumphs especially with the help of atmospheric beginning.
Some may now ask yourself: What idiot babbling of what going back by one step at the beginning of the review, praising the disc here to the skies ?. It's simple: I found Thelema.6 Hammer, Zos Kia cult was even stronger, aberDemigod not reach this high level throughout, clearly represents a drop in performance with me. As I said, the music is still awesome, but if I had to choose between the last 3 albums, Demigod would definitely not the favorite. Nevertheless, the fans will certainly love this record and for fans of extreme metal it is also likely to be very appealing.
