True to the series of Hells Eight Sarah McCarty, always I wait impatiently for the release of the new volume.
This series combines eroticism and Cowboys mavait rained from volume 1, and I trépignais read the history of each of the eight sexy and brave Rangers wish. Sometimes uneven in the intensity or sensual intrigue, each volume had seduced me in its entirety. Where sex was less present, one could find a deeper and more tender story.
But this volume one, javoue have been a little disappointed on both criteria.
Here we find the young Maddie, collected by the Eight Hells what was then retained as a prostitute since the age of 8 years. Suffice to say that his psychological state is most deplorable lorsquelle leaves LENDROIT horrible when she experienced a traumatic childhood. Upon arrival, Caden Miller feels great affection for the young woman, that he will protect like a big brother. This overprotection will quickly reveal as much deep affection to others. And all will realize very quickly that Maddie "pincer" greatly for the cowboy. While Caden want Maddie to move away not to fall in love of her, it (but it is a classic in the series!) Will put at risk and lead to a situation of the most unexpected! (Well, for him, not for us because the pattern of each volume is almost identical).
Although the starting pleases me well, and even if we find all the ingredients from other parts of the series, there are several points of intrigue that seem curious Mount There eg certain events that are evaded or explained too late to make them interesting and credible (the part in Culbart), misunderstandings between the heroes that could make history more passionate but ultimately we make annoying and some elements are mentioned in the dialogues for the final naboutir anything (why ask Maddie the name of the one who made him the most trouble-free that it there on in it then?).
The main subject of this series is of course the history of each "Hells Eight" and while Caden was lun of those on whom we knew the least i closed the last page without having the impression to know more. All the plot is essentially based on Maddie (which does not displease me though) but lauteure has, in my view, a bit forgotten his (our) hero. While paradoxically, the character of Ace (which will be the hero of the next volume) although it is present and stirs our desire to discover his story. Very few physical descriptions of Caden also (yes jaime visualize) I havent any idea the end of the head that he can have, except his blue-gray eyes
In short, despite all this, i still read the book very quickly because as always with the series of Hells we are faced with a page-turner who can hold on to our reading. Although the sex scenes are less present (but can be understood in light of the past Maddie, and limit it sounds more "credible" than the volume 1) they have their little effect and reveals once again a Cowboy worthy of the name.
So a small disappointment for me, but this series moon remains my favorite (go figure!) And lattente next Completion will be long!
