With their debut album Tracy Chapman has made the leap directly into the charts. It is even now represented with the two titles "Talkin 'Bout A Revolution" and "Fast Car" for a long time on the charts and even on the radio. The nice young woman has communicated something. So she tells not only of love but also a lot about their own past and of social injustice. Her voice is so strong and clear that it was very celebrated by the scientific community to this CD. She has won several Grammy's and has been called directly with many sizes of the music business for Amnesty International Concert Gala. It was at that time still to secure the release of Nelsen Mandela. Unfortunately and unfairly, it has become very quiet around the singer.
