I want to discuss at this point do not have all the hits and all Kracher of Californians who are on the board; they all definitely its raison d'être (on the plate) - but ...
one may wonder why the producers of these best-of CD have simply ignored some songs ?! Singles such as "Million Miles Away" and "She's Got Issues" are neither substandard located than the others on the album, even if they had overused the capacity of (quite sparse filled) CD. The "usual plus-minus-40 Minutes" season of Offspring album were here fortunately indeed even "cracked" or even exceeded deztlich; but Mirt it remains a mystery why all Veröffntlichungen who The Offspring made in the course of their international careers, are gathered in this collection. If already "Best Of", then please correct !!!
Also, the booklet contains only the most necessary, only the Sogtexte are printed.
A word on the usual "special" bonus Matierial with best-of albums like this: no more than average. The remix of "The Kid's Are not Alright" is quite ok - nothing more. Unfortunately, in this track but can not help thinking that everything was cobbled together rather listless in a cloak-and-dagger operation in the studio the band's own Macintosh producers quickly. The cover version of the Police song "Next To You" (which can not be seen is on the tracklist; oha - what a special fan-friendly "surprise" * exaggerated irony *) could pass as a B-side and also wikrt not really convincing ,
Abstatt the two superfluous bonus tracks have been better 3-4 single releases from early band times (eg from the "Self-Titled" and "Ignition" era) of the plate to face. Wurdem Why waived probably remains the eficacy the band, their producer or their marketing management.
to ebefalls available Limited Edition is by the way: the content is basically also rechtr sparse. Included on the DVD interview, a passable played Acoustic Performance ("Dirty Magic") and all 14 songs are ncoh again in new form of a blend (in Dolby-quality), that's it.
All in all: A work that is worthwhile for hardcore fans and also grants Offspring- "newcomers" superficial insight into the career-cosmos of the three Kalifornierr insights.
For music lovers, who already know the popular songs like "Self Esteem," "Pretty Fly" & Co. and are looking for something new, this CD is of course not recommended; but that was gar nich to be expected in view of a best-of album actually.
