In contrast to the Baldur's Gate parts Dragon plays Age in a specially created by BioWare fantasy universe that "A Song of Ice and Fire" is somewhat reminiscent of the George Martin series, as the world yet gloomy lot than what one otherwise frequently in the genre they offer. Typical of the developers is the creation of the character, the recruitment of group members and also to interact with just those. It is not a game that you can even play down well in a couple of hours (and, above all wants), I was busy for well over 50 hours and I'm sure that you can spend even more time there if you really will meet every side quest and read every Code entry (entries on the history of the country, races, ...). This is perhaps a weakness of the game since it nevertheless requires the player a lot of patience and time and that many casual players might just might be too much.
Technically like the graphics may not be quite as much as in other titles pounce, but is quite successful and harmonious. Coarse There are no bugs and even those that do exist should be resolved through several updates in the meantime. The German language edition is also convincing, even if it's a shame that on the XBox version has no English language dispensing.
Now for the story. This is captivating from the very beginning and it never comes boredom. As already written above, it is also quite extensive and has to be seen everything goes quite a bit of time. Towards the end it goes but unfortunately something quickly and you are then almost surprised that the end of the game but is quite fast. The connection to the attendants is also well done, and if you have completed the journey, partly really makes you feel connected to the digital characters. It was also the first time that has really hit the end of a character development and this is clearly a sign that the makers have done something right (although I which they have cursed the first few hours after that * g *).
Conclusion: Those who liked one of the previously listed titles, will also love this game. BioWare shows once again why they enjoy such a good reputation. Two thumbs up and the wait on Dragon Age 2 is now little more bearable.
