Fictionalized life of Chuang Shou (Zhuangzi), Chinese sage of the 4th century BC, looks like a joyous philosophical fable in the alert and playful feather Patrick Rambaud. Contemplation, idleness, solitude, simplicity, refusal of honors and power, tender lucidity on human nature, freedom of tone and of mind, smiling and foremost of himself; as described Chuang Shou. In truth, very little is known about the life of this major figure of the Taoist doctrine. Therefore, this is a tasty treat to be carried away by the imagination of Patrick Rambaud describing the adventures of this wonderfully simple little man in contrast china, cruel and warlike of that time. Clever and mischievous, as usual, the author uses this very distant past of this otherwise so different in appearance of manners and culture, to draw chiaroscuro portrait of our time; and probably a bit about him in the guise of Chuang Shou.
