Finally there are new recordings of Billy Idol, albeit by well-known songs, but all were put in a new, fresh look. So the first pieces of the CD are presented in acoustic versions, which very nice room is left for the voice of Billy Idol, which may present itself in all its diversity, sometimes gently and einschmiegsam, sometimes rough and snotty. Steve Stevens shows his great passion for the acoustic guitar and, above all, that in it is much more than a rock guitarist who can come up with some stylish effects. About half of the songs are presented in this Campfire / Honky-Tonk Bar Feeling until Steve then takes the middle part of 'Eyes Without A Face' for electric guitar (I can not wait this instrument changes on the soon published Storytellers DVD to admire). The subsequent tracks are everything 'strengthened' versions and especially with classics like 'Blue Highway' and 'LA Woman' shows Steve Stevens that he has not forgotten anything on the electric guitar and demonstrates a delicate and precise stringed instruments, which unfortunately often futile searches with today's rock bands. Billy is the first vocally brilliant to the last note and the remaining band members are certainly with the best occupations that Billy and Steve ever had. The songs have lost none of its hardness, however, seems to be much more transparent. By partially new arrangements, surprising breaks and especially the successful improvisations (eg was in, Do not Need A Gun 'that James Bond Theme' incorporated) you quickly forget that many of the songs now already some 20 years on have humps. Nothing is dusty or boring - on the contrary. This CD is highly recommended to anyone who waiting for a new album (new, previously unreleased songs like 'Fire' and 'Bitter Pill' leave great hope) to sweeten or just an old friend wants to hear again in an unfamiliar form. As in the booklet of the CD is already correctly: "... he's the voice we did not know we needed, until we heard it again Billy Idol is a rocker, Then and Now and forever ...." It could well be expressed any better!
