Bad !! I put 3 stars because unconditional Ferrat and there even when talking about him. This bio especially details the theme songs of John, the social context of the time, critics of the press across all edges and its various television appearances. Some details about his private life but this is clearly not the aim of the author who is also first "journalist of the French song". By cons, at the end of the book there are beautiful tributes from family and the artist's friends, and I think I learned more there on his personality, as throughout the book. I also regret that the annotations are not listed at the bottom of page, but at the end of each chapter; we must refer to it for additional information which makes laborious reading. Honestly for readers who would seek more details about the private life of J. Ferrat I advise rather excellent biography of Robert Belleret "Song of a rebel" published "Archipelago".
