Blues at the highest level!

One thing you can be sure Joe Bonamassa does not suffer from a lack of creativity. Currently the publications coming out of the house Bonamassa in rapid succession. Solo albums such as The Ballad Of John Henry and BlackRock come at intervals of less than a year on the market. In between, there was the Black Country Communion debut, his successor is probably already in the starting blocks.
And in my CD player rotates for a few days the new album Dust Bowl and persistently refuses again to disappear from the device!

Unlike Black Rock Joe Bonamassa has on the new album Dust Bowl the skirt portion scaled back somewhat. The Blues reenters clearly to the fore.

"Slow Train" opens the series. The song starts as a decrepit steam locomotive to later transform into a modern blues song, how better can not write it! This is followed by "Dust Bowl" which incredibly creamy from Bonamassa guitar sound and his voice alive.

A little surprise follows with "Tennessee Plates", the song written by John Hiatt and John Porter combines blues with country. John Hiatt carries the song as a duet with Bonamassa and is sure of untypical track on Dust Bowl. "The Meaning Of The Blues" is old-school blues in its purest form. The Mississippi Delta shines here in every note through!

"Black Lung Heartache" was Clapton flair, but Bonamassa sounds better here than Mr. Slowhand in recent years. The sophisticated acoustic guitar arrangements agree perfectly on the groovy middle part of the song. "You Better Watch Yourself" can not quite keep up since. Equipped with a shuffle rhythm song is perhaps the weakest song on Dust Bowl, but this is now really complain at a high level.

However, followed by the next Blues grenade. "The Last Matador Of Bayonne" has highest hit potential. Joe Bonamassa begins the song softly, bass, guitar and his voice rich to produce goose bumps, before he finally shoots with a guitar solo of perfect way the auditory cells of the listener into nirvana in the middle part!

The Paul Rodgers number "Heartbreaker" is a little rockier than the level of rest of the album, which is perhaps also because of the fact that here Black Country Communion colleague Glenn Hughes singing. A little preview of the upcoming album?

"No Love On The Street", "The Whale That Swallowed Jonah" and "Sweet Rowena" maintain the high quality standard of Dust Bowl without problems. Best Song Bonamassa has kept for the end of the album. "Prisoner" is blues grade 1A +. Again voice and the sound of Bonamassa Les Paul a perfect match.

Dust Bowl Blues is at the highest level !!!
