As a big fan of Gaiman's work - novels, short stories, Sandman comics - I can only highly recommend this product. The illustrations are very well done and lend a Certain extravagance to the characters as well as the London Below. The text and illustrations adaptation so do not cut the original story unneccessarily short and keep in line with the main story (for story summaries and reviews please see reviews of Gaiman's novel "Neverwhere"). Even after having read the original novel, this adaptation which shut worth its money. The characters and settings seem to have been invented by the artist with the greatest of respect to the ideas in the original novel. It is a good read for people who are new to Gaiman as well as For Those Who are already acquainted with his work, even - or Perhaps Especially Those - who have already read and reread several times Neverwhere.
