This mortar and pestle is totally unsuitable for grinding of spices! Mortar and pestle have a rough surface. By Zereiben of spices also a considerably amount is rubbed on ceramics! The fine ceramic dust ends up in the crushed spice, which is therefore completely unsuitable for consumption! I would say, even damaging to your health! I have sent the item back immediately!
