After a little disappointment from reading "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban ', it is with trepidation that I started reading this 4th volume. Apprehension which quickly found groundless, as I enjoyed this novel. This is the year of the World Cup of Quidditch, the favorite sport of witches, a kind of football that is played on broomsticks. Harry attends with his sorcerers friends, an opportunity for him to escape his dreary daily with his uncle and aunt. But dark events occur: the Dark Mark, rallying supporters terrible Voldemort, who has sworn the death of Harry since the latter made him lose all his power, appears in the sky and portends the return power of the Dark Lord. It was under these melancholy auspices that carried out the return in the fourth year at Hogwarts. But this year an extraordinary event takes place in the school of life: Hogwarts hosts the Triwizard Tournament during which compete in three different tasks three champions of sorcery schools, including Hogwarts. The story is very well put together, but slow to implement, that obviously many readers complained. Indeed, the first 150 pages (on a novel that has 650) form a kind of long introduction and uninteresting compared to the plot. JK Rowling embroiders around the Quidditch World Cup and only belatedly decides to enter the heart of the matter. But once the plot is launched, it is a joy. Action, plot twists, suspense going briskly, delicious. The characters are pretty worked, including the evolution of Harry and affirmation of his character. We discover a little more than other characters, far side. Compared to other volumes, humor is much less present. It arises primarily through the first love of the young men of fourteen, the age of first disturbances, first love. It's a bit silly and childish sometimes, but it could not be otherwise, given their age. These stories of heart and these extraordinary events become a pretext for introducing a character that plays a big role, although its interventions in the novel are rare: this is Rita Skeeter, a journalist by trade, but especially furious paparazzi, desperate to find the scoop by whom the offense cometh. JK Rowling then took the opportunity to make a sharp criticism of the tabloid press. To continue the comparison with other volumes, this drop of humor is accompanied by a significant change of tone. The tone becomes more serious effect. And most importantly, for the first time in a book in the series, there are deaths. JK Rowling household effects; unlike previous volumes, the end remains somewhat unresolved and suggests a sequel. After that I look forward to devour as I find pleasant, like this last volume appeared, the "Harry Potter" series ... PS: It's worth reading the different volumes in order. Indeed, there are often references to events that occurred in the previous volumes and the characters. While JK Rowling made a few reminders, it is better to have followed to enter all the plot elements.
