cheaper network scanner with slight weaknesses

Positives:
- Very handy device
- Cheap price
- By WLAN, the device is flexible (unfortunately only WPA2 PSK compatible - no IEEE 802.1x)

Negatives:
The advertised resolution of 600 dpi, the scanner creates unfortunately only under certain - unrealistic in normal applications - Requirements. I even scan to an FTP server (you can up to 5 FTP profiles deposit) and use the following settings:
- Document size: Automatic detection
- Color or b / w Scan: Automatic detection
- Auto-alignment: a
- Blank page skip: a

These settings can be configured up to 300 dpi. Is dispensed with automatic detection if there is a color document, which size has the scan and whether it just inserts a blank page, you can let the device scan on 600dpi - then gets but also much larger PDF files.

The collection draws not always a straight and tolerated differently as with high end document scanners no slight crease in the paper and the like.

The price (bought the device for 299.90) appropriate for the problems (in particular the small maximum resolution of 300 dpi in normal circumstances) a bit too high.

Unfortunately, the device has also no right ON / OFF switch (but this is normal these days).

Why 3 star:
- 1,5 star less due to the max. 300 dpi resolution, instead of the advertised 600 dpi
- 1 star less because of the improvable feeder
