Children OK robust image quality mediocre

We bought the camera for our five year old daughter. It comes now relatively well with it, which it has partly problems with something stiff buttons.
The picture quality is ok to mediocre, overall acceptable for the price. As sole holiday camera I would not recommend a Fotofan, yet it will also create some photos of my daughter's holiday album. Print as a poster is not going stop, but I did not expect.
The camera is stable, robust and waterproof (the latter we have tested in the bathtub).
Large drawback: it eats batteries, and indeed many. On holiday two to four pieces per day with many images were not uncommon (but my daughter photographed also like). We have fortunately specially procured us before the holiday a little charger for rechargeable batteries. Still, it's more than annoying, and the closure of this is initially quite difficult to open.
In the absence of my acquaintance alternatives I would probably buy again because they must already endure what and she has not actually with us.
