The Nanomax 250 is for me the perfect compromise

+ Easy
+ Small packing
+ Keeps D90 + battery handle and Nikkor 70-300 easily (tested with D300)
+ Pretty solid stand Drotz lighter thinner legs
+ Great value

+ - Pack size could be even smaller
- Feet could still have metal spikes under the gums
