Unfortunately I have not yet found the headphones for the full range of my musical taste. Extending from ambient to grindcore, classical to jazz to Noise Punk or electronica and hip-hop. And so every genre has its sound preferences. And that's why I am doing here is a small armada of headphones for different applications: a few Bose sound True, for clear, detailed things, a few beats studio for when it neatly print the woofer needs a pair of Panasonic HTX7 for film, television and guitars. On the way the whole thing is then again completely different, because there are InEars with or without cable, fit for sports or not etc etc.
Creatives Aurvana Live! 2 are clearly armchair headphone for me. Although she beautiful pack the ears soft and warm, they are too bulky for outdoors. The headphones are not foldable transport is possible only in size and in the accompanying sachet. No problem at all, but there is a minus point for the seat: the headphones are indeed relatively easy, the cushions are soft and comfortable, but I personally feel the pressure of the handset upside down as too lax. They sit a bit too loose, which is convenient, but when jerky movements not looks very safe.
For design: simple, provided with red-metallic highlights form in style to the rest Aurvana series (see photos). The ear cups can be rotated forward 90 °, which improves the seat principle. The built-in plastic parts are ready durable and flexible, acting on the edges visually slightly under whelming (roughened matt metallic plastic is not very state-of-the-art, see photos). The running bills for the resizing is made of metal, but smooth- snaps crisp.
The pads are soft and sit comfortably, the continuous use is no problem. Noise isolation is hardly given, should in the apartment but also pose a big problem and is not mentioned in the product description, so I do not look at it as a time point of criticism.
A great plus gets the removable ribbon cable. Not only are the ultimate ribbon cable against cable clutter, but also the remote control, including a slider (!) Like for the volume. This looks sober, clear and well thought out, even if there are no buttons for skipping, but only one for call answering.
Otherwise the delivery is rather spartan, there is the small Transportbeutelchen and that was it.
The most important: SOUND & Performance.
Has been tested with tracks from Glenn Gould (Piano), A Place To Bury Strangers (guitar noise), Amon Tobin (Elektronika) Moved Masculine (hiphop) and The Mars Volta (detailed guitar music) all 320 kbit / s MP3s again from Honor6, once the Sony Walkman and once played directly from the computer. CONCLUSION: Creatives Aurvana Live 2 convinces most in the field of electronic music and hip-hop, can score for himself in the quieter area, but does not convince me entirely in the field guitar noise!. While digital beats wonderful punchy and pumps detailed from listeners, and also a very beautiful piano sound in space and clean, loses the sound at überbordenen guitar walls to detail and above all rough edges. Since I personally affects all too compact (as in my Studio beats and guitars) and spongy, but are personal listening habits.
For gaming, television or watching movies, the Aurvana Live 2 are however pretty super: clear certain spaces and detail when it comes to language and little things, but punchy and with volume if it crashes, bangs or rumbles. Here, the comfortable design, 40mm drivers and low weight play hand in hand and create a nice home theater sound. Like that.
Call goes to the set the way super easy, one button to mute / call acceptance is directly on the remote control, the call quality is good. The problem, which one has in well-insulated headphones while calling (that one does not hear his own voice and always louder) is very limited, but also because the noise insulation inside is rather decent.
Conclusion: Basic seems the Creative Live wanting 2 most likely establish a multimedia headset, and make them good!. When it comes to music: as with all headphones I recommend here at the listening, best tracks with which one himself knows and appreciates. Where you can find likely if a lie the listener or not.
