Clean arrangements, great voice, but something much unstructured Lali Lala Tralala

Finally it's here, the first somewhat critical assessment which cold ends the series of praises of James Bay. For the so-called "Songwriter of the Year" sufficient advertising indeed made, whatever creates a bad first impression, at least for me. From the notion that it probably is a commercial singer / songwriter James Blunt la, I have to either dissolve or I, it must maintain. We'll see what results. The voice is first of all quite good - a typical high male voice with ambitions to be about one-Damien Rice's successor, or a Jason Walker or Ron Pope. (The list of similar and equally good singers voices is believed more than the layman!)
Has the arbitrary Lali Lala Tralala the compositions rather than a clearly recognizable line but as feared those very helpless melodies structure regurgitates me all commercial modern music again and again unpleasant.
What actually abound on this album several unnecessary duplication, ie songs that true fans of the artist already know from his previous EP's? At the end behind it perhaps even a fraudulent idea? Once only composed, but cashed twice? Well, so evil, to consider, I will now times not.
Because the style that served James Bay, is one of my favorite styles, he would have me really very much. On the other hand my yardstick in my favorite genres correspondingly high, because I already know as much as Shining, and quite so shiny that the bar would be reached, James Bay is then not. I'll take it as true not bad, but would have no problem, never to meet his songs again. I'll give you 3.25 stars. But surely Mr. Bay quickly become one of the better newcomers who are in the charts. I do not know who else is in there, a lot of nobodies definitely. It can also be a curse, already several outstanding representatives of the genre to know acoustic ballads, so James Bay comes a little too late to cut a the chair. Its advantage is simply that he (also thanks to marketing) is better known than many others of his kind, and I know as opposed to the majority of listeners his models and can it be measured to you. But that is my problem and not that of his young fans, which I like to begrudge the listening experience. Better something like this as something really bad.
