"Adventureland" is the musical probably the best album of PUR and certainly one of its most important. For me, the CD represents an attempt to very good predecessor "Seiltänzertraum" (1993) to surpass and deliver a CD that offer real progress should. This is to make as clearly heard, especially on the class title track, one of the best PUR title ever. Entire 6:23 minutes takes the title that breaks out of the normal scheme of the band and offers very good guitar work, how would you like to hear more in PU. The instrumental "Merlin's journey" includes music on to "Adventureland" and shows the claim of the group to be able to make good rock music. Other highlights of more than an hour long drive are the serious, Piano certain "life", "whole matter" (with a very critical text on the German media landscape), the ironic "a gray hair" and the ballad "In my mind," on the Hartmut Engler is very emotional again. For these songs, the band manages to combine intelligent lyrics with musical variety and diversity. The rest of the album is the high level not keep you, but offers solid songs with no major weaknesses. "Adventureland" is therefore certainly a very good album with a brilliant title track that gets very good over the full season and loose reached the level of its predecessor. In addition to easily enhanced sound the "Remastered Edition" also contains two English songs (especially "I love you "is very well done) and an audio commentary by Hartmut Engler, who is very interesting, especially for fans.
