I use the camera in low light conditions quite often for recordings at concerts. (ASA 1600, Tungsten). The camera is light, quiet, unremarkable. The autofocus will work here usually bad, usually not. Manual focus works quite well in static scenes, with moving objects only helps a depth of field table and a little bit of experience in estimating distances. The recording quality is very well balanced at 1600 ASA, assuming the post of the photos will be held with the program Sigma-own. Balanced is here compared with analogue photos (400 to 1600 ASA films gepushte color / B & W). The noise performance in RAW photos corresponds more to the analog material, which corresponds to color behavior and "granularity" (It is possible to make very nice SW photos, without necessarily resort to the typical SW plug-ins must). By moderate rework one gets moody authentic photos. Due to the strong colors of home I take the saturation back partly strong, otherwise the colors look slightly unnatural to surreal. Positive I noticed that hard backlight of stage lights is quite well drawn. The contrasting behavior is very good. Chromatic aberrations keep within limits, they are all lower than that of zoom lenses for SLRs in the medium price segment. The disadvantages of the camera is clearly the autofocus, which is slow and insensitive, the controls are in the dark hard to read (here only helps practice), unfortunately fits no efficient system flashes with TTL metering (Neither of Sigma, nor Metz etc.) to the camera. The battery life is also not praiseworthy. The movie function is redundant. The recycle time is slow. Positive is clearly the image quality in RAW. As a fixed focal length camera is an alternative to significantly bulkier SLRs. If you like photographed "analog" and thinks the photography, will be rewarded with photographs that a proper basis are also suitable for larger formats with little effort on reworking by the Sigma-own program. By the way, who does like HDRI shots, the bracketing drive mode will be appreciated. I admit, despite the ergonomic drawbacks 4 stars, because the image quality under all lighting conditions is great, even if the price until it's all together (elbow block, lens hood, polarizing filters, macro lens), is quite substantial.
