I have since 2 years a Nespresso machine in use and have now received a birthday present for the caravan, the Tassimo Vivy. At first I was a bit skeptical, because I'm still very spoiled by the Nespresso. The machine itself makes quality a good impression, though not quite as "high quality" as the Nespresso. After 3-times venting (at first use) it is then ready to use (faster than the Nespresso). Inserting the disc is very easy if you understand how times around and in which direction you have to use them. Since a corresponding bar code is printed on each disc, the machine determines alone the amount of water, the water pressure etc.! I find great! So far, it has worked very well. Cleaning the machine without problems. The items are for the most part also dishwasher-safe. For the rinsing with plain water, there is an extra enclosed "Cleaning Disc" (for the purpose of the bar code ...). As for the coffee itself: as a pure coffee or espresso tastes to me to be the Nespresso a little bit better, and that's probably pure habit. At first I had the whole "normal" Jacob coronation and was then disappointed that tastes this like normal filter coffee and looks. Until I realized that yes Extra are varieties with Crema and now work properly with crema! But what is an absolute hit, the cappuccino and latte macchiato. Both have a super milk foam, look like served in a cafe, perfect amount and very good taste. Although I usually often have problems with dairy products, I can take this strangely very good. The milk foam discs also contain a powder, as with many other machines, but have proper liquid milk in it. When I find Nespresso producing Cappucino and Latte Macchiato even more complicated, especially as it indeed needs to make the milk foam separately (and that even in a specially dear Milchaufschäumer ...) has, unless you are still expensive Nespresso Lattisima (ca. 200,00). Since the Tassimo is still comparatively a real bargain !!! That both the discs (Tassimo) as well as the capsules (Nespresso) are not exactly cheap, probably should be clear, the so procures a machine. What I now like better at the Tassimo is the fact that I can buy discs in any well-stocked supermarket. If Nespresso is only the order via the Internet possible (and then only 50 capsules-wise ...), unless you live in a big city with Nespresso Store. This "exclusivity" can also nervous one time but very nice.
Conclusion: I'll be the Tassimo wg. retain the diversity and simpler procurement at home and make the Nespresso in the caravan.
The only thing that bothers me in both of Nespresso, as well as the Tassimo, the enormous amount of waste. With Tassimo, I find it even a touch worse, especially since the cartons are then packed again in addition to the discs in a film. This could be determined to solve also more environmentally friendly.
