1 star because it is not suitable for my application. For the installation of a shower glass wall, I looked for an adhesive tape, the vertical sticks a 190cm long stainless steel U-profile (for holding one side of the ESG glass wall) to a tile wall. In addition I have tested 4 assembly lines: 3M mounting tape gray 19mmx5m (EAN 4046719526291) Pattex PXMT2 19mmx1,5m (EAN 4015000401883) Tesa Powerbond 19mmx1,5m (EAN 4042448217356) Owl Dual band Extreme 19mmx1,5m (EAN 4026700468205) For the test, I have assumed that the U-profile because of the weight of the glass plate (approx. 48kg) hardly needs to absorb forces perpendicular to the tile wall, but certainly forces in the plane of the tile wall. Scenario: you slip on the shower tray floor, and then press the side against the glass wall. U-profile and stabilizing bar must then hold the glass wall. Therefore, I have selected the following test: On a tile I have four 14 cm long stainless steel U-profile (12mm cheek), each with 1 band mounted so that each profile 3 cm overlap. The length connected by tape was so 11cm. The tapes had original width. After installation according to manufacturer's instructions (clean, grease-free,) I have tested so 42h: The tile is fixed in a vice. Using a spring balance, hooked onto the U-profile on the tile edge is exerted by lateral train a growing force in tile level until the U-profile start to move on the assembly line. This force is detected. Results: 3M: 14KP Tesa: High: Only the Pattex band held. I have not been brought to emigrate. Therefore only the Pattex band for my application is suitable.
