Warning! brace yourself! you are in Des Alpages Genius. It's a UFO-based SHEEP. This is a comic really difficult to define as extraordinary on the line, shifted to all codes. Tell yourself that already this comic can not be consensual because it is too typical, too closed, too crazy to please a wide audience. So you will meet fans died of laughter and people who hate shouting at foutage of mouth, rarely in between. It is therefore quite involuntarily, in my case, I stand roughly between, say "average +". I can not say that I love, however I do not think that no one at all. It's just very special. Imagine a comedy of the absurd, but not just a little absurd, the absurd total, absolute nonsense. Put yourself in the bubbling and delirious atmosphere of the 1970s, all the excess period, where we dared all and you will understand how such comics have been possible (the emergence of such curiosity seems unlikely in the current climate Editorial, except considering self-publishing). Look no scenario or theme, for there is none. The album is a result of different situations playing on records and zany burlesque, limited to double pages. These situations are not consecutive, but there regularly reminders, recurring gags or secondary characters pursuing a story on the other their completely crazy questions. So you have a shepherd who looks like a retired English comfortably in the garden of his cottage, a sheepdog who speaks with his master and that leads philosophical reflections with him, a flock of sheep that makes his life without the previous two or interacts as a democratic assembly meet its leaders. We find certain personalities among the herd as Einstein and Rostand, or the ram and a few other sheep Romuald strong character. There are also found most surprising characters, like a lion engaged by the dog to help keep the herd, an Egyptian sphinx, for the same reasons, a St. Bernard silly, eagle and an unlucky few other characters, all as wacky and absurd than each other. The local sports for the shepherd and his dog is to the body count in the mountains tourists in the newspapers of the country. Humor is really very special, full of puns, second degree or references to other works, literature, film, comics, etc. This is not always laugh out loud but it has good gags and totally stupid things that end up being funny to the thousandth degree when we get in the game. So it is a pretty special BD experience, not unpleasant for me, but, I repeat, certainly not mainstream, therefore, is for everyone to position themselves in relation to humor and the world of F'murr. But this is obviously my opinion sheep, a lost sheep, that is to say, very little.
