Two stars, one for Jed Martin, hero of the book and one for his clone that Houellebecq portrays dérision.Grosse without any self-deception: in truth I expected a little. Houellebecq should win the Goncourt for the excellent and visionary "platform" .Malheureusement politically correct jury to give the prize to a writer who dares to write that "Islam is the religion of the world bitch" (that is I literally think that says a character in this novel, released 3 months early ... just before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001). So to win this famous Goncourt it was a consensual product because at the bottom of the jurors themselves could no longer ignore the writer who revolutionized French literature since Sartre according to foreign critics still interested in French literature. I imagine that would have made the description of Raincy Houellebecq in his time "Elementary Particles" .In "The Map and the Territory", not a word in that territory commuter who reduced as a trickle (aptly named) for indigenous which are going in the Creuse transform our regions and elsewhere in Disneyland for tourists emerging Chinese, Russians ... This theme makes only ten pages like other themes (Art, the Architecture, the police investigation ...) Finally it is a patchwork houellebecquien as rightly wrote a surfer before, very lazy and on the edge of a pastiche of his obsessions, sexuality and less (Goncourt forces. ..) So no vertebral column to the very soft novel I read diagonally as it is true that I was expecting a recovery this literary fiasco .Relire Particles Extension ... ... ...
