Cool rhythms between Action and a touch of romance

The Action score proven John Powell wrote the music for James Mangold's new action comedy "Knight and Day". The surprises and turning points studded film tells of the rapid flight of an unusual couple around the globe. Accordingly, the music between adrenaline-fueled tracks varies (eg "Trouble on I-93") and pretty relaxed rhythmic passages with a southern touch (for example "Going to Cape Horn? Take A Jacket").

The extremely energetic and at the same time quite supple appearance of music probably stems mainly from the successful blend of modern electronics and classical orchestra, accordion, acoustic guitar, percussion and drums. Overall considered not coming the score closer to the perfection of Powells animated film scores (eg, How to Train Your Dragon), but white within the underlying genres quite to please. Especially the last two tracks "Bull Run" and "Going to Cape Horn? Take A Jacket" are very successful and exciting.
