My children (8 years, 5 years and 2 years) love but love the adventures of Peter with the abominable Cornebidouille. We already had the previous 2 albums ("Cornebidouille" and "Revenge of Cornebidouille"), I had to buy the latest published! And this last album is up from previous albums: just perfect! As background: Pierre will not eat his soup and his father threatens the dreadful Cornebidouille witch. But Peter is smart, much more than this abominable witch and every album, Peter manages to get rid of! In "Revenge of Cornebidouille" the second album, he had turned into pumpkin, but as a witch Cornebidouille do not admit defeat: When Peter's mother cut the pumpkin in half, the witch doubles and they want revenge by transforming Stone Soup. But you'll understand: Pierre is much more clever!
This story is very funny (children laugh from beginning to end) and reads in family (My 3 different ages: 8 years, 5 years and love it every 2 years). It has all the ingredients to appeal to children: not a very clever witch who falls into the trap and thus does not fear dialogue with games of funny words like "penis marmoset," "dippy bell" between-punctuated with "How?" and a little brave Peter confronts the witch undaunted. The illustrations are colorful as usual, well worked and beautiful and I find even more beautiful in this last album. It really deserves to choose these albums in large size at 12 euros (not pocket version 5.5 euros) Cornebidouille has become THE reference in our witch and has become THE favorite book. Yet these are not books that are missing at home!
