Crypt of the Devil

Nearly 20 years after the groundbreaking debut "Haunted" these days appear new album "Crypt of the Devil", which, after all, already expects you with the 3 Cover Album Graveyard Classics, is album number 14 in the career of Six Feet Under. The zeal of Chris Barnes in all honor, but in the past often urged on the impression that some albums were simply not enough ausgetüfftelt. Because, let's be honest, though every album had to offer some good songs, but in the whole really impressed since "Maximum Violence" no longer work really.

Also on "Crypt of the Devil" is not gold that glitters, however, crystallize but a few highlights out. For example, the opening triple this time is really well done, "Gruesome" enjoys a good hook, "Open Coffin Orgy" (who wants again, who has not ?!) has to offer successful change of pace and a catchy lead guitar part in the middle and " Broken Bottle Rape "has the best guitar solos that were ever included in a Six Feet Under disc. Besides Barnes tells us what to do with broken bottles so everything can do, except they be disposed of in the glass container.

Worth mentioning were still the for Six Feet Under conditions really fast "rod" and the subsequent roller Groove "The Night Bleeds", both skillfully again play with tempo changes.

Total "Crypt of the Devil" is something "musical" than the last Six Feet Under works failed, what reason is simply that is Brandon Ellis of the most capable guitarist, the Barnes has recruited.
