I met Zaz a year ago at her concert in Vienna and was really excited.
It impresses with an incredible vitality and versatility - during the concert she has three times changed the outfit and thus also the style of her songs and her singing.
But this versatility I miss a lot in her latest album.
Here known songs about Paris reinterpreted by it.
This succeeds even good for my taste, then less.
Especially in a duet with Charles Aznavour, it sounds but something cramped.
The recording itself sounds to me very flat and sterile.
I've even in direct comparison Recto Verso and Paris belongs, where Recto Verso sounds much fuller with me on the same complex.
Therefore for me it is again waiting for the next - hopefully "real" Zaz album
