I remember when searching in any case after the design looked to have. Then I wondered if the screen is not too coarse mesh. And the question of the temperature was in the room: How long will my coffee stays hot? Also, I was hoping that the coffee tastes at last again. It is so propagated that this is the ultimate way to make coffee. Levitating coffee powder in hot water ... Well let's see.
Okay, now I have the thing in my hands and am satisfied.
The design: good. I like it, although one can not take approach as an evaluation criterion, as this is purely subjective. The color would be most worth considering, because as nice cream-white, they will no longer look after frequent use well. Whether there might be a nice green or blue is better, but everyone likes to judge themselves. The grip is far enough away from the hot glass. Risk of burns really consists only in people with two left hands.
The screen is sufficiently fine mesh. "Tchibo filter coffee" is not separated entirely upon depression of the water. So there will always be a little set left in the cup. This evokes memories of grandma's good coffee. :-)
The temperature: there are only 3 cups of it. So it is perfectly adequate if you pour boiling water on the powder, after 4 minutes pours the first cup and empties it with relish. The 2nd and 3rd cup are no longer hot but still nice and warm. For me it was enough.
The taste: I admit, I expected more. I always drank far from the conventional filter coffee machine or the brewed coffee and was no longer satisfied. I had asked myself: liegts the powder on the machine or the water? If the water is not hot enough? I still do not know. I have tried various coffee powder, various amounts, but really great as you look at the "Propaganda" presents after, the coffee is not. I miss eg still the wonderful smell of fresh coffee I had earlier with my grandmother in the nose. But one thing is fact: Taking the accompanying spoon, measuring from 3 servings, so the coffee is too strong and the coffee powder is ratzfatz all. It is roughly equivalent to 4-4.5 normal servings.
Would I buy me one more time as a cafetiere? With the experience that I have now? I dont know. Probably yes. Only because after this preparation the coffee is ready more quickly than with my coffee. The coffee tastes, although not so super hyper great as touted. And in between this coffee is always better than the Aufbrühzeug.
Tip for larger portions: EFBe Schott has a 1L-cafetiere with integrated kettle. Definitely a good idea!
