Darren reinvents itself and yet remains true to itself

Well, I'm a fan since 1997 and have always followed his career. With Savage Garden and even after the separation. He has an uncanny development undergone musically. He also has a lot of experimenting. One can not really put him in a certain drawer. And I do not want too. He is unique and incomparable. His voice is like a balm. A relaxation for the ears. Wonderful familiar yet always fascinating and exciting. That's the beauty.

And with this album he has created his masterpiece in my opinion. It combines everything that he has produced. There's a little Savage Garden is perhaps the catchiness of many songs, which is not meant negatively. It's an art, to create a song that can reach many people at once. Do they touch the heart. Without it does not go with him. His lyrics are so special. It hearkens back, recognizes himself or his life maybe it again or can simply nod his head.
While he indeed remembered even more to Savage Garden with his first solo album "spin" he's gone "The Tension and the Spark" new paths with. Everything was experimental, new, just different. More electronic than classical harmony, but it was also very interesting and some pearl of pop music brought to light. However, I can also imagine that this has so many old Savage Garden rather deterred me. He does now times no Trallala-pop music, but always at a high level.
And now the feat he has managed to combine all of this in my opinion. There are electro-pop elements but also classic Popharmonien heard. All this combined with his wonderful voice and the catchy lyrics that is sheer listening pleasure. The CD leaves my player currently no longer.

Taken by the Sea - Heartbreaking fragile song that you just have to love.
Do not give up - Ingenious uptempo number that does not leaves a cold.
Nearly love - Absolute out tip! Very catchy popiges song that goes straight into your ear and not let go a.
Black out the sun - Passionate song about a failed love ... wonderful theatrical and deeply.
Talk Talk Talk - Very danceable pop song that makes good mood. Class!
Bloodstained heart - a gem! Starts quiet and comes in the chorus times from really. The grabs me every time. Quite large number!
God walking into the room - Ok. Something spiritual. Who does not like, could have a problem. But I like this passionate in his songs. They are bursting with desire and longing. I love it.
Hurt - Great sarcastic song that you should have in the collection. He makes it to the point.
Roses - yet such a special out tip !! Very thoughtful text about if ... missed opportunities or what it should arrive in life. Wen leaves the cold, can have no heart.
Stupid Mistake - also super uptempo number and as the name suggests, it comes to crime and punishment ... should but actually everyone can identify with.
Cruel Cruel World - Beautiful chilling number that inviting you to relax. Seelenstreichler.
The Siren's Call - Ok. At the end but a small drawback. It's probably purely subjective (but what is not?), But that's really the only song that I do not like. Why? This song, which is likely to constitute the said siren song do not like me. I have now become a real anti sympathy, however. It is certainly not Darren's voice, but that of another singer. And I do not like it. It does not fit somehow.

Nevertheless, I would therefore no star plan to withdraw. It can one not everything 100% like. I expect not. Therefore, the album has the 5 star absolutely more than deserved! Darren is back! When the finally understands Germany? I want to see him back here on a German stage. But that will probably remain a dream ...
